What is virtual birth photography?
Virtual birth photography [VBP] is for families who cannot have a birth photographer present at their birth due to hospital limitations, or choose not to hire a birth photographer for budget or personal reasons.
Families who want virtual birth photography highly value memories and photos and want their birth captured in a professional way, even if a professional isn’t present!
This is where I come in!
Depending on the package you choose, I will give you a crash course on how to use your camera, guide you through what photos to take, and edit your photos to give you a polished final product!
Of course this isn’t the same as hiring a birth photographer, but it’s the next best options if you’re unable to have a birth photographer present.
The current dilemma:
Most local hospitals currently only allow ONE support person which of course is usually dad. While I’m anxious for that to change (and I am hopeful that it does soon!!), it breaks my heart to see families giving birth without the photos they desperately want to remember their baby’s birth day.
Did you know that birth photography is actually THERAPEUTIC? Sometimes it is hard to process our birth. We are so concentrated on getting baby here that we don’t soak it all in. I know personally for my births, looking through my birth galleries is so comforting and it helps me fill in the gaps of my story that I don’t remember and process exactly how the days unfolded.
